Just a quick word to let you know I'm not laid out in despair, wallering in self-pity over my weight issues! (I bet that's what ya'll thought I was doing, huh? Go on...you can admit it...it sounds like something I would do. lol) But alas, that's not the case. I woke up in the middle of the night a couple of days ago with the first little ticklings in my throat and, by morning, I was full into some kind of cold or flu. Today's the first day I've been out of bed and up the stairs since Wednesday night. I've read all of your comments regarding my post of the other day and want to thank you so much for your support. Now if I could just get you all to show up at my house and force me into that "power walking" schedule I so desperately need. lol In the meantime, I'm headed to the shower and then probably back to bed for a bit. I'd really like this cold to leave soon so I can see clearly enough to read all of your blogs (my head feels like it's wrapped in wool, right now). Hope everyone is doing well and look forward to catching up soon!

  2. I heard something's going around the whole darn country. I'm trying to stay one step ahead of it. Sorry it caught you though. Take care of yourself. Wish I lived close enough to bring you some homemade chicken soup.

  5. Oh Baby, that's probably why you took those rude comments so to heart...you were getting sick, even then! How about a nice treadmill, found at a yard sale by someone who couldn't take it one more second, while you are watching Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc...you walk and drink water and nibble on carrot sticks and the like...you like?
    love ya

  7. Take a nice warm bath and get some rest. I don't know why but a warm bath always makes me feel better when I'm sick! Hope you are better soon.

  14. Sorry you've got the cold/flu/bug/whatever. Just rest meantime and let your body fight it off. There's plenty of time for visiting blogs, in 2008. Get healthy first!

  16. That stuff is NASTY...it can keep a good gal down for days...so drink plenty of fluids, rest, and by all means take good care of yourself..."pampering"...I say is the best way to "kick" this gunk in the ole bootaaa...I had that when we returned from Italy...it was just like yours...tickling throat one minute and the next minute...full-out coughing up a lung! I still have allergy issues...it's kind of starting to get to me, too...I'm tired of my head swimming...but then again...I looked up the symptoms of menopause (probably a big mistake) and noted there are 38 signs to menopause...and GUESS what??? I have 34 or 35...not sure about the hair loss thing b/c I have so much...and dizziness is one of the symptoms(so maybe I REALLY don't have allergies and haven't had them for many years...just depression or menopause)...I swear I think they just lumped every ailment into one category and called it MENopause!!

Feel better soon, take care...and remember to drink lots of water!!

    Blessings...
    Teresa

  28. Hope you're feeling better now... and I just read your last post as well. That little girl is rude, R-U-D-E rude and she needs to realise that those sort of comments are unnecessary. I won't say you're not that fat, because I'm right there with you honey (we could hold a see-you-for-best competition, but I try not to think about my evil twin who just happens to inhabit half my body. That's the part of me that is rude and loud and unkind. If I could just get rid of her, I'd be a lovely person, but, hey, life's too short..... and what if she's the nice part & I'd get left with the rude ugly bits.. too deep, no, won't go there.) but I will say that what ever your size, you look and sound like a really honest & good person and that is way more valuable than thin. A pox on her and her juvenile opinions! The way the world is heading she will probably grow up to be fat too, so she'd better get used to handling it with dignity. And you take care, honey. Lose it or not, what makes you special is not measurable. Love, Jo XXX
