But...as a reminder that life can still be great, we got a visit with our little Skye last weekend. This is Russell's daughter - isn't she adorable? Here she is with Grandpa:
Love that smile!! And here she is with me...and Sydney. Sydney seemed to have a hard time staying out of the picture for some reason. I think maybe Skye had been slipping him cookies when I wasn't looking.
Desiree' and I are driving to Oklahoma tomorrow to spend the weekend with my dad and stepmom. My sister is flying in from Florida, too, so it should be a fun time. Dad's always been a huge fan of Star Trek so our plan is to take him to see the new Star Trek movie. We're hoping to get to visit with some cousins, too. I haven't been up there since November. I had planned to go back in February but things got in the way and here it is almost June. Time goes by too quickly, doesn't it? Anyway, I hope to have lots of pictures to post when I get back and - even more importantly, as far as I'm concerned - I hope to be in a better frame of mind so that I can get back to visiting with all of you! I need to start making some lunch arrangements with my blogging friend Kat for my visit in July (I'm really looking forward to seeing her again!). Oh and I just found out that Randey and I will be traveling to Ohio in October so I will (hopefully!!!) get to meet Joan and Susie Q up close and in real life then. Exciting stuff, isn't it? It's good to have fun things to look forward to. And it's good to want to look forward again. "Talk" to you all soon!
