Christmas Movie Poll!

Vote for your favorite! You can vote for more than one. I think. (I'm still not what you might call "well versed" in the poll posting thing....)

Yes, I'm aware it's only August. And yes, I'm aware we haven't even had Halloween or Thanksgiving yet. And yes! I know I'm bordering on an alarming obsession with Christmas! SO. WHAT?? I must have cold - whether real or imagined - or I'm afraid I will spontaneously combust into a menopausal conflagration. So stop muttering curses and VOTE already. Thank you so much.

  1. I just had to vote for four of them: White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol (I like the Patrick Stewart version) and Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

  3. I could feel the hostility, so I voted - I think it's a bit crazy, but I did it. You're welcome. =)

By the way I would love to paint with your friend - between the two of us we could have a whole house done in no time!

  5. It's a wonderful life! I love it year round. Now I want to go dig out the Christmas decorations, and I haven't even done the autumn ones yet. And since autumn is my absolute favorite season, even though it only last 2.5 weeks in Oklahoma, I have tons and tons of orange and brown and red leaves and berries and pumpkins and candles with which to usher it in. So, I guess I'll have to wait for the Christmas stuff. The day after Thanksgiving is marked on my calendar for all the Christmas hall decking.

  6. Your Uncle Wally and I are in here rolling on the floor with laughter...he wants to vote for all the movies, told him you can only vote once and I am the only one with a vote and didn't he read his son's diatribe against back door politics, etc...but guess I will try to vote twice and if anyone asks for identification will have to forge a birth certificate or something...anyway, It's a Wonderful Life is his choice, just so you know!

  8. Yikes! Okay I voted!! I placed my vote for Christmas Carol, but this version is not my favorite...I love the story itself but LOVE the 1950's Alistair Sim version. And, while we are at it, what about a write in vote? In that case, Love Actually is my choice. :)

  9. White Christmas for me. Miracle on 34th Street is our Thanksgiving eve viewing so I sort of associate it with that day. We have a theatre near us that shows the holiday movies on the Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas for a free will donation for the food bank. It's so cool to see the classics on the big screen.

I adored Rosemary Clooney...and her nephew is pretty easy on the old eyes come to think of it but what did that have to do with White Christmas? Nothing but who cares?
